Rosehip & Poppy, the new collection by British textile designer Katie Charleson is new at Woven. As Woven’s current Designer in Residence, Katie is launching her new designs at Woven’s London store as well as online.
All original, new designs, Rosehip & Poppy mixes orals with textural repeats in motifs inspired by London gardens. The prints are painterly, using a printing technique which enables Katie to paint directly onto the screen with dyes and then print to achieve a beautiful watercolour effect. By also using regular pigment printing she creates bold contrasts in a fresh colour palette of blues and greens alongside deep teal and bright red.
All seven cushions in the range are double faced with a different print on each side and piping in eau de nil velvet. The collection also features a generous 150x200cm linen throw with the Wild flower Teal pattern on one side and the Gregory Stripe print on the other, bordered in eau de nil velvet. Each cushion and throw is made to order by hand by Katie in her London studio. The cushions include a feather pad and concealed zip.
